Haveli of Mirza Galib
Once home to the great Urdu poet Mirza Galib, the residence is now a heritage site. A classic example of Mughal architecture, the walls are now adorned with portraits and couplets of the poet.
Majnu ka Tilla
Often known as Delhi’s mini-Tibet, this area known for its Tibetan restaurants and Tibetan market. It is located on the banks of Yamuna and is famous for a Sikh shrine called Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tilla.
Agrasen ki Baoli
Another reminder of Delhi’s marvellous architectural history is the ancient stepwell - Agrasen ki Baoli. This protected monument has a 108 steps and is close to the metro station.
Sanjay Van
A forest within the city limits, the Sanjay Van sprawls over 783 acres. Apart from cycling and jogging, this is an increasingly popular site for birdwatching.
Kumhar Gram
Another lesser known spot in Delhi is Kumhar Gram loosely translated to Potter’s Village. Home to 700 potter families, you can buy as well as make your own earthen pots here.
