From observing the architectural marvel to hopping on to a hot air balloon to feast your eyes on aerial views of the city, one wouldn’t fall short of things to do in Paris.

Paris Plages is frequented by people basking in the summer’s warmth. The popular 'beaches' (with deck chairs and ice cream sellers) which pop up on the banks of the Seine and Basin de la Villette has even seen city-dwellers jump in for a swim. Disused since 1934, La Petite Ceinture or 'little belt' is an abandoned railway line that once encircled Paris inside Napoleon's Boulevards des Maréchaux. A walk along the same is recommended. Make your way to green metal boxes of the riverside 'bouquinistes', or book-sellers to browse through a remarkable selection of yellow-paged novels, retro fashion magazines and back issues of Tintin. While at this recognised UNESCO World Heritage site, shop for trinkets and postcards.
