Maharashtra’s hidden gems lie in its smaller towns, away from the big bustling cities. Unless you look at the hidden water tank and heritage village in the metropolis of Mumbai.

The metro city of Mumbai has a whole bunch of hidden gems and off beat spots. The Gilbert Hill sits in Andheri, at an amazing height of 200ft., with two temples on top of it. Kanhoji Angre Island was earlier known as Khanderi Island and houses the remains of a fort built by the Portuguese. Outside of the city limits, Diveagar is a sparsely populated area with cleaner beaches. Harnai-Anjarle also falls among the lesser known places around the city. The Sea-Fort and the Ganesh Temple that the place has, for quite a treat for travellers. Kaas plateau is a place that also goes by the name Kaas Pathar and is best visited during the months of September and October.
